100 Days of Writing – Day Sixty-Seven

I’ve made a decision to take a break from social media…the only question is for how long.

2022 has been a year of many changes in my life. A lot of what I’ve experienced has been chronicled on social media. As I prepare to start a new year, I’ve decided to take at least a one-week break from all social media.

I know I spend more than enough time perusing social media each day. At times, it’s been informative and enlightening, but I also know it’s often unproductive and generally a waste of time that I could use for more constructive purposes.

I realize that quite a few people look at my page for my daily posts that are motivational and humorous. I’m going to leave links for those that like to read the material so they won’t be left out in the lurch. I like to think my posts each day are helping others in their daily walks, but at the same time know I need to spend more time working on myself.

So, as of Sunday, January 1, 2023, I will be taking a sabbatical of at least one week from all social media accounts. At the end of that week, I’ll make a decision as to whether to return or lengthen my time away. Hopefully whenever I decide to return, I will be more enlightened and focused.
