As the first round of the NCAA basketball tournament gets underway, you have quite a few teams that have little or no chance of coming away with the title. Most of these teams are only in the tournament because the conferences that are from get an automatic bid.
How might you be able to tell which teams these are if you don’t know much about college hoops? Simple— does the team have its players’ names on the back of their jerseys. If it is a “big school”, chances are the players’ last names will appear on the back of their jerseys. If it’s one of the schools that is in the tourney by virtue of an automatic bid, chances are all that all you’ll see on the back is a number and perhaps the logo of the company that makes their jerseys.
Just something that I always notice…and no, chances are none of those teams will make it to the final four.
