Over the past several days,,,perhaps even the past week, I’ve noticed my sleep patterns are changing and are out of synch. I have also noticed during that same time period that my dreams are a lot more vivid and easier to remember.
I haven’t had to deal with insomnia in quite some time. But over the past week or so, it’s become more of a problem. While my caffeine intake, especially near bedtime, could use some work, it’s never affected me in this way before. I lay awake at night, staring at the ceiling and more times than not, end up getting up out of bed, if only for a short while.
I’ve also been taking more naps during the day. Today my nap lasted approximately two hours, which for me is highly unusual. And approaching my usual bedtime tonight, which is usually 11 pm, I wonder how easily sleep will come. ** I just looked at the clock and it’s already 11:10 pm).
I suppose I could be coming down with something,,,but I certainly hope not. Perhaps it’s just one of those “seasons” where my sleep cycle gets out of synch and will hopefully return to normal before long.
