Big Wave Dave’s “Spin of the Day” – Day One

I have decided to continue to post favorite music I’ve found that I think others might enjoy.  I have also noticed when I was on FB, these didn’t get as many “likes” and comments as they once did.  The good thing about the WordPress site is that you can tell how many people view each post.

So here we go with the first and the lyrics as well.

Other Side Of The World
Over the sea and far away
She’s waiting like an iceberg
Waiting to change
But she’s cold inside
She wants to be like the water
All the muscles tighten in her face
Buries her soul in one embrace
They’re one and the same
Just like water
The fire fades away
Most of everyday
Is full of tired excuses
But it’s to hard to say
I wish it were simple
But we give up easily
You’re close enough to see that
You’re the other side of the world to me
On comes the panic light
Holding on with fingers and feelings alike
But the time has come
To move along
The fire fades away
Can you help me?
Can you let me go?
And can you still love me
When you can’t see me anymore?
The fire fades away

  1. I have a good friend that reminded me to listen carefully to the lyrics of the songs I liked to listen to…Most of the time I really couldn’t tell you what the words were….Luckily, the internet is all too eager to supply those and it has made a huge difference. Sure enough, the songs I seem to like the sound of usually have a good message as well. I’m glad this friend let me know that we really need to listen carefully to the lyrics as well as the music.

I listened to several other songs by this same artist and found this one I particularly liked the video for and did do a search for the lyrics….turns out they are indeed meaningful in ways I might never have imagined.

So I am thankful this friend let me know to listen to the lyrics…they contain just what we might need to hear.
