Card Pull – Day Thirty-Nine

COYOTE SPIRIT

Trust in divine detours

Protection Message: Sometimes, a goal is so enticing and alluring that you lose your footing in the pursuit. You begin to fixate on capturing this prize, whether it be an opportunity you have always wanted, a relationship with that elusive someone, or the promise of β€œthat big break.”

Coyote Spirit warns you that this trickster energy seducing you now will yield nothing but disappointment and unnecessary heartache if you let yourself be fooled. Great Spirit wants the best for you, so when your plans go topsy turvy, know that Coyote Spirit is present to protect and bless you.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day Reading for Saturday, March 23rd – Day Thirty Nine

Thought for the Day

Strength comes from the fellowship you find when you come into A.A. Just being with men and women who have found the way out gives you a feeling of security. You listen to the speakers, you talk with other members, and you absorb the atmosphere of confidence and hope that you find in the place. Am I receiving strength from the fellowship with other A.A. members?

Meditation for the Day

God is with you, to bless and help you. His spirit is all around you. Waver not in your faith or in your prayers. All power is the Lord’s. Say that to yourself often and steadily. Say it until your heart sings with joy for the safety and personal power that it means to you. Say it until the very force of the utterance drives back and puts to naught all the evils against you. Use it as a battle cry. All power is the Lord’s. Then you will pass on to victory over all your sins and temptations, and you will begin to live a victorious life.

Prayer for the Day

I pray that with strength from God I may lead an abundant life. I pray that I may lead a life of victory.

Hiatus from Social Media – Day Thirty-Nine

I realized just yesterday that I’m closing in on the end of my sabbatical from social media. A week from tomorrow is Easter Sunday, the time I designated to end my hiatus from social media. It will be a definite change to go back to perusing those sites, especially Facebook, and to make daily postings.

What have I missed the most? Social media is a good source of news about what’s going on in and around the area. Especially when it comes to sports schedules and such for my area, there’s no better source. With March Madness in full swing with the NCAA basketball tournament in its opening rounds, it always interesting to see fans of various teams and their reactions to game results.

I will enjoy the routine of my daily posts. I’ve not been reading them from the website I get them from, so I’ll be more enlightened as well. I also miss posting my humorous puns each day. I will see those in social media memories from apps on my phone and recall those posts seemed to get more attention on my page than anything else. Laughter is always good medicine.

I will need to install the apps back on my phone for mobile access. I have realized during my break that I use my phone for social media access more than I do anything else. There are several game apps that I’ve made use of during the break, but phone use is way down during this period.

So just a few reflections on my time away…a week and one day from now I’ll be returning and I have to admit, I’m looking forward to it.
