Meditation for the Day

My five senses are my means of communication with the material world. They are the links between my physical life and the material manifestations around me. But I must sever all connections with the material world when I wish to hold communion with the Great Spirit of the universe. I have to hush my mind and bid all my senses be still, before I can become attuned to receive the music of the heavenly spheres.

Prayer for the Day

I pray that I may get my spirit in tune with the Spirit of the universe. I pray that through faith and communion with Him I may receive the strength I need.

#42-THE HORSE KING

ASSISTANCE, CONTROL

REVERSED

The Horse King wants to know why you think you can do everything by yourself. Keeping control of everything around you is counterproductive and exhausting. You may lose an important opportunity if you insist on being stubborn. The Horse King is patient, however, and will wait for you to come to your senses and accept the help you need. You won’t be able to reach your goal otherwise. Yet the Horse King says that all it takes is a decision to jump on his back, ask for help, and graciously allow yourself to be carried to your destination. Let go of control and amazing things can happen for you.

     “In very real ways, we’re drawn to what we need to learn.  Often, it waits like a quiet blessing that we can easily ignore or just as easily open ourselves to, like that small wildflower.  But for the soul to blossom, we must accept our deeper, humbler destiny.  For the wildflower doesn’t become rich or famous for blossoming.  It doesn’t live forever or become the greatest flower of all time.  The wildflower’s reward for trusting what it senses but doesn’t yet know is to become what it was born to be – a flower whose inevitable place is realized in a small moment of Oneness, as it joins with elements that were here before it came alive and which will live on once it dies.  This is the reward for every seed growing in the dark with no sense of what it will become.  As a soul on Earth, this is all we can hope for, to feel the light and being of all time course through our veins while we blossom.”

Inspiration and new life are here! Rejoice, for spring is in the air and you’re beginning again. This marker bodes well for any new project, endeavor, relationship, or idea to take shape and to be birthed into the world. It also reminds you that anything old or painful can be brought forth or transformed by a new and creative perspective. This marker reminds you that the process leading up to a birth can feel cumbersome, restrictive, painful, and never-ending, yet the final shift brings an extraordinary gift of new life, a new vision born out of surrender, and a total release. Know that you’ve come far and are at a place to celebrate your ideas and all things anew. This card asks that you align yourself with the Mystery of Spirit— the true source of creative energy and power. None of us are inspired without the subtle and profound influence of the soul’s longing and the urgings of the Divine. Remember the prayer, “Make me a channel for Divine creativity; use me as an instrument of a Higher Will,” and watch a miracle unfold.

#37 – NEVER-ENDING STORY

SELF-CRITICISM; THE WOUNDED EGO; UNNECESSARY DRAMAS

GUIDANCE

The Oracle’s message: There is a story woven through the imperfect fabric of life that tells of hurt and loss, rejection and humiliation, self-loathing and arrogance, and all manner of suffering born of unnecessary dramas. It is the old story whose refrain is that you cannot do this, must not go there, should not say that—lest your world come crumbling down. Today, know that none of this is actually true. The sky is not falling. The voice you hear is just a small, scared, conditioned part of you that got stuck in a lie, wants to protect you, and needs to be seen as a victim. Love that lost piece of you. Fear is all it knows. Distorted guidance is preventing you from being true to yourself. You are not your story, and the narrator is simply the voice of your fearful part, small and vulnerable and easily soothed. Relationship message: Sometimes your heart enters into a contract with another that results in pain, not because of abuse or neglect but for other, more complex reasons. Shame, fear of intimacy, and low self-esteem are the greatest challenges to the success of a relationship. Consider how valuable this knowledge is, however. Right now you have an opportunity for important healing, but you must reflect on the stories you weave about love, connection, abandonment, rejection, and loneliness. Not only do you need to begin a new story; you need to forgive yourself for telling yourself the old ones. Have compassion for the part of you that believes all those narratives. None of them were ever true anyway. Prosperity message: Fear, envy, procrastination, greed, and the perception of victimhood could all be active in your life at this moment. Are you comparing yourself with others, thinking their success should be yours? Maybe you’re afraid of all the good that is coming your way, so you step out of your lane, totally aware of what you’re doing but seemingly powerless to stop yourself? Are you back where you started, or in a situation that reminds you of past failures? Financial insecurities scaring you? You must learn to love yourself through missteps and sabotaging moments. Use criticism constructively right now. Better yet, stop telling this story altogether. Make up a new one. The universe loves you deeply and will wait for you to figure that out. Tell a new story and success is all but guaranteed. You can do it!
