Letting Go….once more #44
LETTING GO

Reading from Language of Letting Go…
What if we knew for certain that everything we’re worried about today will work out fine?
What if . . . we had a guarantee that the problem bothering us would be worked out in the most perfect way, and at the best possible time? Furthermore, what if we knew that three years from now we’d be grateful for that problem, and its solution?
What if . . . we knew that even our worst fear would work out for the best?
What if . . . we had a guarantee that everything that’s happening, and has happened, in our life was meant to be, planned just for us, and in our best interest?
What if . . . we had a guarantee that the people we love are experiencing exactly what they need in order to become who they’re intended to become? Further, what if we had a guarantee that others can be responsible for themselves, and we don’t have to control or take responsibility for them?
What if . . . we knew the future was going to be good, and we would have an abundance of resources and guidance to handle whatever comes our way?
What if . . . we knew everything was okay, and we didn’t have to worry about a thing? What would we do then?
We’d be free to let go and enjoy life.
Today, I will know that I don’t have to worry about anything. If I do worry, I will do it with the understanding that I am choosing to worry, and it is not necessary.

Meditation and Prayer for the Day…
Spiritual development is achieved by daily persistence in living the way you believe God wants you to live. Like the wearing away of a stone by steady drops of water, so will your daily persistence wear away all the difficulties and gain spiritual success for you. Never falter in this daily, steady persistence. Go forward boldly and unafraid. God will help and strengthen you, as long as you are trying to do His will.
Prayer for the Day
I pray that I may persist day by day in gaining spiritual experience. I pray that I may make this a lifetime work.

Second Night Out…
I’m getting ready here within the hour to go out to capture my second night’s pictures for the local newspaper. I got a text today from my boss saying that he liked the results from last week and that the post had gotten a lot of views on their FB page. So I’m figuring I do much the same this week as last.
I’m not sure what the crowds will be like tonight….last week was St. Patrick’s Day and I think that’s one reason all the places were so crowded. We shall just have to wait and see. I did get a lead from a friend that there was a play uptown tonight, but I’m not sure what the possibilities would be for taking pictures at that venue. I figure I would have to get the patrons on their way in, during intermission, or on their way out. I’ll just have to play that one by ear.
I’m also going to visit several places that I didn’t go to last week. I’m hoping that the results will be good there as well. You never really know until you’re there.
So here’s to another week as a free-lance photographer….May this week’s pics be as good as last week’s.

This World….musical selection
Another child is born
Another race is won
Another dream is shattered
Another day has begun
This world is still afloat
No not in Noah’s boat
We’ve only lost the vision
Of the stars we’re meant to be
Another broken heart
Another lesson learnt
Another harvest eaten
Another night is gone
A new day’s begun
Even your dreams they can be real
This world is still afloat
No not in Noah’s boat
We’ve only lost the vision
Of the stars we’re meant to be
This world is still afloat
No not in Noah’s boat
We’ve only lost the vision
Of the stars we’re meant to be
This world is full of love
We still have hope
This world is full of love
We still have hope
This world is full of love
We still have hope
This world is full of love
We still have hope
This world is full of love
We still have hope
This world is full of love
We still have hope
The Courage to Change….

God – Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.
Please Pay Attention…shared reading
I normally read a lot of books, but rarely read one all the way through. I guess I could blame it on my ADD, but a part of it is that I’ll find something else of interest in another book and off I go.
I got the following quote from a book, but neglected to write down what the book’s title was and therefore can’t give proper credit. But it’s wisdom is such that I want to share. I wrote the quote on a yellow oversized Post-It Note and it obviously has weathered the storms of its age. So it must be something someone else needs to hear:
Please Pay Attention
You’re going to find that you have everything you need in order to do everything you need to do.
According to Philippians 4:19, God is going to supply the resources, connections, and support you need, even during sudden crisis.
Stay calm, go into prayer. Now look around you. You’ll notice you have all you need. Use your resources wisely!!!
