Today marks the one month mark of my sabbatical from social media. While the first days were a real challenge, it’s gotten easier with the passage of time. During the past month, I’ve experienced a lot and I’m working from a stance of “the world goes on around me without my social media presence.”
I have been missing keeping up with local sports news. I’ve found that social media sites are one of the best ways to keep up with the schedules and game results for local teams. I see where NCSU defeated Duke in the ACC tournament yesterday and I’m sure there was a lot of banter between fans for the respective teams about all that.
I have also missed doing my daily posts. I have two devotional readings that I’ve done for over five years. I hope those that would visit my page are clicking on the link I provided to get those readings. I REALLY miss seeing all the funny memes that other people post. Humor is good medicine!
There’s a little over two weeks left until I return to social media. While I have missed it, I also realize the world keeps going ’round without it. Such is the nature of the beast.
