These thoughts and emotions that I’ve been experiencing over the past several weeks have been all over the place. I’ve placed myself in several situations, including the interim teaching position, that are causing my mental chatter to be at an all-time high. And all I can do at this point is take it one day at a time and navigate the course the best I can.
This past weekend was very busy, but also very productive. Saturday was one of the busiest days I’ve had in quite a while. I got done all those things that I set out to do and then some, so there’s something to be said for that. And the best part of it all is that I got to be of service to others along the way.
I’ve been thinking quite a bit about providence here of late. There was a daily writing prompt about fate and destiny and that got the wheels of my mind turning. I also have talked with several about predestination and the role that it may play in our lives. No really concrete answers to speak of in these areas, but definitely something to ponder on.
It’s getting that time of year for the college basketball playoffs and much ado about “March Madness”. There are those who get all about guesses and predictions this time of year. I watched a college game last night between NC State and Duke. The Blue Devils were favored in the game and although they got off to a slow start, ended up winning in the end. I don’t really have a favorite team, but my interest in hoops does increase around this time of year.
Just writing these thoughts I’ve been having as I sit here at 5:45 a.m. on a Tuesday morning. Getting ready to make final preparations and then get ready to head out for work. I’ve been stopping by Starbucks for my daily morning coffee, as well at the local grill for morning breakfast. I am indeed a person of habit, most of them good.
