Hiatus Day Four – Random Writing

Today marks the fourth day of my sabbatical from all social media. I have found myself in a sense of ease about the hiatus and realize that it’s a good thing to take a break from time to time.

This is just a block of random writing and thoughts as I sit here on this Saturday afternoon. I’ve been fairly busy most of the day. I started with pet-sitting duties for my daughter, who is on a trip. I then went to the local coffee shop and had breakfast, coffee, and a conversation with a group of friends. I then decided to brave the chilly temperatures and take a walk. I walked a total of 3.5 miles in the downtown area of our city. I ran errands for both myself and my daughter while on my walk.

I then found myself once again hungry, so I went to a sub shop and had a roast beef and cheese sub. Afterwards, I came home and laid down for a bit to rest. I’m now in the process of doing some more laundry and of course, writing this blog.

Yesterday I was listening to a presentation by the late Wayne Dyer. In this talk, he referenced a book by Napoleon Hill, Think and Grow Rich. I picked the book up and started reading it. I’ve made it through the first part of the second chapter and have found it to be quite interesting. Those things I’m gleaning from the book may be the topic for another blog.

What the rest of the day holds, I cannot say. There are plenty of things I need to do around the house. I likely will make a trip to Barnes and Noble at some point. We shall see what the rest of the day brings.
